LPA & Wills Seminar

According to a study by the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), 1 in 10 Singaporeans above the age of 60 will be diagnosed with dementia. This session is designed to raise awareness and educate the public on the importance of estate and advanced care planning. We will highlight the importance of Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and why everyone should have it. During the seminar, we will discuss what is classified as mental incapacity and when the LPA will come in play.

Lastly, you can also learn how LPA can tie up with a Will so that your loved ones can also be provided for in the event of death or when a fatality occurs.

Topics covered:

  • What is LPA
  • Why and how to do an LPA
  • The importance of estate planning
  • What happens to a person’s estate if he passes on without a will
  • Factors that one should consider when drafting a Will

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that allows a person to voluntarily appoint one or more persons to make decisions and act on their behalf should they lose their mental capacity one day.
